Gil Demers is a partner in the firm's Taxation practice. Gil advises individuals and businesses in various sectors on Canadian taxation in order to maximize their tax situation. He is also a member of the firm's multidisciplinary team that works alongside entrepreneurs in the succession process. His fields of interest are in planning the purchase or sale of a business, negotiating with tax authorities and estate planning. He has participated in numerous company restructuring mandates and has consulted on mergers and acquisitions. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Gil has developed a practical knowledge of business that helps his clients to create value.

Gil is President of the Taxation committee of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec (OCAQ). He is also a member of the organizing committees of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF) conferences and symposia. He has also lectured at these events in recent years.
